William Lees Templeton M.D. (19 November 1896 – 28 January 1969) MD Glasgow was a British orthodox physician who converted to homeopathy to become Dean of The Faculty of Homeopathy and Director of Provings at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital, and editor of The British Homeopathic Journal.
William Lees Templeton was a colleague of Edward Bach, Ardeshir Kavasji Boman Behram, Douglas Morris Borland, John Henry Clarke, Andrew Tocher Cunningham, Donald MacDonald Foubister, Clarence Granville Hey, James Douglas Kenyon, Thomas Maughan, William Burnett Douglas Miller, Elizabeth Paterson, John Paterson, Kathleen Gordon Priestman, Percival George Quinton, William Wilson Rorke, Margaret Lucy Tyler, Sir John Weir, Charles Edwin Wheeler, Harold Fergie Woods, Dudley d’Auvergne Wright, and many others.

NB: William Lees Templeton’s grand-daughter has just founded a herb garden firleplaceherbgarden.co.uk (Firle Place Herb Garden). It’s about 2 miles from Lewes. On her website she speaks of being inspired by her grandfather and great grandfather and shares some of their background in homoeopathy ‘… A huge source of inspiration to Lady Gage, was her grandfather, Dr William Lees Templeton, an eminent physician and one of the first allopathic Doctors to study and bring homeopathy into his practice. He lectured all over the world, introducing homeopathy to various audiences, including the Royal family, in the early decades of last century…’ 28.7.14

The credit for bringing carcinosin into lime light goes to William Lees Templeton and Donald MacDonald Foubister. William Lees Templeton was the Dean of The Faculty of Homeopathy and Director of Provings at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital.
He carried out a proving of carcinosin in around 1952-53 by dividing provers into two groups. Group- I ,consisted 4 provers & 4 controls, Group-II consisted 5 provers & 4 controls. The drug was proved in 30 and 200 potencies…. The report of William Lees Templeton’s proving & the results of Donald MacDonald Foubister’s clinical findings were published in The British Homeopathic Journal in April 1954. vol.44, pages 108 – 115…
William Lees Templeton submitted many provings and cases and articles to various homeopathic publications.

Isabel Molison Templeton, relative of William Lees Templeton?, wrote The Old Lady in Room 2:
Autobiography of Isabel (Molison) Templeton, who was born in Scotland, and married John Clark Templeton. He was an engineer in oil development, and they lived in various places around the world until the depression in 1931. They returned to Scotland at that time, and he began a laundry business. Isabel helped unionize underpaid, overworked typists in the early 1900s, and strove to liberate the “old folks” in the 1970s.
If my research is correct: William Templeton called Bill, was the fourth son of David Templeton (and Margaret nee Clark). Bill born 1898 Married to Edie nee Williams born 1901. He was a homeopathic doctor.
His elder brother John Clark Templeton was born 1885, was married to Isabel Molison Templeton nee young. born 1886 (my grandmother)

Hi Ronald, You have switched Bill (my father ) with Jim. Jim was the youngest son and married to Edie. Bill was 3rd son married to Christina Scott Murray. Also there was a second daughter Euphemia (abt 1888-98) who was killed , supposedly getting her long hair caught in the wheel of a carriage.
